Ashley Goodman is a clean living enthusiast and health researcher by profession. Though formally trained to analyze how one’s environment impacts their health, it was not until Ashley’s first pregnancy that she began to consider the potential impacts of the chemicals she was exposed to through her beauty products.
Recognizing that what she put on her body mattered just as much as what she put inside her body, she began exploring the shady underbelly of the beauty industry; it is not nearly as safe or regulated as consumers would expect. With this knowledge, she embarked on a mission to find the safest, best performing beauty products on the market – not an easy feat. This mission led her to linking arms with her business partner, Jenny.
Jenny O’Mahony, a born and raised Vancouverite, has always had a knack for problem solving. An ICU nurse by trade and mother or three young girls, Jenny has always had a “use all the tools” mentality – opting for clean, more natural options whenever possible. When she was hit with a stubborn bout of hormonal acne, Jenny dove into problem solving mode. Combining the support and recommendations from various mainstream and holistic practitioners, along with her extensive knowledge of essential oils, Jenny began experimenting with different solutions for her skin issues.
With their shared desire for clean and minimalist skin solutions, Ashley and Jenny founded The Glo with the mission of creating self-care products that leave you feeling good about looking good.
